Hi, my name is Ivan (aka Dark Glass) and I currently live in the heart of Russia, in the magnificent Moscow.
Since my early years I have been immersed in the world of painting, and in 2020 I discovered the amazing world of photography. In my creations I strive to capture the fleetingness of life, evoking reflections on how memories intertwine with the present. My photographs are a meditative black and white symphony, a grainy palette and a slight fog effect together create the illusion of time passing, immersing the viewer in an enchanting atmosphere.
Each image is not just a frame, it is a story, pulsating with the rhythm of life, soaring high and filling the heart. I hope that in my works there will be room for reflections, feelings and emotions that unite people and remind us that even the most fleeting can be eternal.
I do not strive for commercial success, it is more important for me to convey to the viewer the sincerity of my experiences and make them feel a connection with something greater than themselves. Photography for me is a way to explore the world, myself, my feelings, and share these discoveries with others.
By experimenting with color, I bring my work to the point of extreme grain, turning photography into an avant-garde challenge to the familiar. For me, color photography is not about finding the perfect pixel, but rather about daring to experiment where noise and rough structure become the artist's primary tools. Where others see imperfections, I see the pulsation of raw life. This is the other side of my lens - a nervous, explosive, yet still genuine one.
